Beaches of Cartagena, Colombia

Cartagena, Colombia has several beches that are popular with tourists and locals.  Laguito and Bocagrande are near the city center, hotels and tourist attractions.  25 minutes away  from the City, is the location of another favorite beach: Boquilla. Ten minutes away from  Boquilla Beach, is Manzanillo Beach. The more frequented Cartagena beaches are maintained every night, with tractors and rakes.

Many Cartagena beaches are popular because they are near to the hotels. Bocachica Beach is near hotels with many good restaurants and shops for tourist to choose from.

Cartagena beaches are considered safe, Police patrolled with few problems. The biggest nuisance is the many beach vendors that won’t go away! The more frequented beaches have a standard RED FLAG warning system, to warn everyone when necessary about bad weather.
